Bomb blast at Pakistan intel building: official

A massive bomb blast exploded outside the building of Pakistan's premier intelligence agency in city of Peshawar on Friday, wounding at least 20 people, security officials said.

Witnesses said the headquarters of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in the northwestern city was heavily damaged after the blast, with huge clouds of smoke spewing into the sky and debris littered on the ground.

The building was almost destroyed and even a building across the road badly damaged, an AFP reporter said. He saw three bodies lying on the ground.

A security official at the site said at least 20 people had been wounded and an official at the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar said 15 wounded people had been brought in after the attack.
